Unfortunately, there's not much you can do about it, except to repeat the mantra, 'pray to help,' and continue until the grade is over.But before you even begin that process, you need to know exactly what you want out of your chemistry EOC practice test questions. There are a few things that you should consider. The most important thing is that you don't just guess at it.First of all, the one thing you need to understand when you are planning your chemistry EOC test questions is that if you didn't know this by now, you will know it soon enough. And guess what? This is a cardinal rule: Do not guess.Okay, back to the question itself. What is the best way to get your students' scores up and improve their scores? I recommend that you don't ask them to go home and do nothing.Instead , take their scores home and go over each of their test questions with them. You can also record their answers so that you can go back and see what they really did.Also, when you go over your test questions with your students, you need to emphasize to them that what they have to do is focus on the parts that the questions were asking them. Country guitar is one hundred percent expression. When you play country guitar, youre not trying to show off how fast you can play a riff or pattern. Practice Your Expression With Your Favorite Country Songs Pick some of your favorite country songs to use for practice. If you dont have any favorites, I suggest using a Hank Williams or Patsy Cline album (preferably a vinyl copy if you have access to one). Nothings more basic and friendly (as well as educational) than the old stuff. Begin by strumming a simple three-chord pattern along with the music in the key that matches. I suggest that you start with C, F, and G7th. If that doesnt work, go up to D, G, and A7th. Once youve found the right chords, hit the bottom string of each chord, strum it, and then repeat. Practice this pattern with no embellishments. Once youre comfortable playing this, youll be ready to begin plucking individual notes. Country songs are played to convey emotions like love, heartache, loss, and simple pleasures like watching a sunset. If the song is in three-four time (one two three, one two three), it helps to match each measure with a three-syllable phrase. For example, if the song is about love, repeat the phrase I love you to yourself and assign each syllable a separate note that supports the power of this message. If the song is about heartache, assign the phrase I miss you to a set of notes. If the song is about loss, you can use a phrase like Im so blue. You can express a simple pleasure, like a picnic or sunset, with a phrase like aint this grand. If the song has a different theme, feel free to make up your own phrase and repeat the process. Add an extra word when you assign phrases to songs in common (four-four) time (I love you, dear). Coordinate Your Solos to Compliment The Songs Pattern Country solos should be mere embellishments of these three- or four-note patterns. Heres where you get the chance to practice and develop your open-handed technique (which should be as playful-sounding as possible). The verbal equivalent of a country guitar solo is an embellishment of a phrase. Its notes might be represent a phrase like I love you. Yes oh yes I do. Yes oh yes I do. I want you to love meto love me..to love me. If you do, Ill be true. You know that Ill be true. Take my hand (my hand my hand my hand) and love me tooand love me too.” Every phrase comprised of words other than the original three (yes oh yes I do. Yes oh yes I do) should be expressed musically with an alternating thumb-and-finger pattern. You might eventually want to take these patterns a step further, and use a more involved phrase like yes oh yes I do. You know I do. Yes oh yes I do and Ill be true.” For beginners who want to learn to play country guitar, I recommend Hank Williams Im So Lonesome, I Could Cry. Its both slow and in three-four time. Its three-note pattern is also easy to follow, and its dictated by the words in the song. Patsy Clines Your Cheatin Heart (in common time) is another great song for beginners. When is the Right Time to Start Music Lessons Suzy S. Music lessons really are for all ages! Dont believe us? Think youre too old to learn? Read on as Dayton, OH teacher Mike H. explains why this is far from the case! Studies have shown that the younger a child is, the better the chances of starting a successful music education. Children as young as 2 start learning under the Suzuki method and most children have a “window” of opportunity that opens around age 3. Sadly, that window closes around age 10, well past the age where most public schools now begin their instrumental music programs. But what if you’re an adult who never got to learn the instrument of your dreams? I have talked to people over the years who were trying to encourage their own children to take the opportunities they had not. They were encouraging their children to learn music from a perspective of missed opportunities and the thought that it’s too late for them but not for their child. Well, it’s never too late to learn a musical instrument! Adults may not realize that now that they’re fully grown with life experience, they are capable of learning an instrument despite the perceived setbacks. They often become bogged down with work schedules, family life and the delicate balance of life. But music lessons later in life have suggested a number of extra benefits such as: It can be relaxing and a great way to de-stress. Music lessons can help with organization and planning skills. Music can enhance your ability to do math and logical calculations There are more opportunities than you might realize for public performance Learning an instrument later life can act as an obstacle to Alzheimers I’d like to start at that top of that list and discuss the relaxation benefits of taking music lessons and illustrate a few examples of what that might look like.   If you’re like most adults, you already have some sort of activity you enjoy when you get the time whether that be a hobby, or a simple afternoon nap. Listening to your favorite music has a calming effect. Your blood pressure will drop slightly and your heart rate will actually pace itself to the beat of the song. This is why you prefer hearing up-tempo music while exercising but not necessarily while trying to sleep. But what about playing an instrument? In my experience, this effect is heightened a bit more than just listening, which alone is often done in the background of other activity. In that case, it’s not likely to work at all.   When you concentrate on the notes of a melody of a familiar song while playing it yourself, you can hear it come to life and the satisfaction from the hard work and perseverance is more rewarding than simply listening to the song on an iPod. The skills you pick up learning an instrument pay off huge dividends and you may find it’s easier than you think to get started. Each geometric shape has its own set of properties such as number of sides, dimensions, area, perimeter, volume etc. Every geometric shape has its own set of formulas. Two or more points are joined to form straight lines and these lines are the sides for a particular shape. More than two lines are joined and various geometric shapes are formed. Example 1: What is the area of a triangle which has base side of length 10 cm and height of length 12 cm? Triangle is a geometric shape which has 3 sides. The area of the triangle is = 1/2 *(base)* (height) Given are length of the base side and height of the triangle. The value of b = 10 cm, h = 12 cm. This makes the solution = 1 /2 * 10 cm * 12 cm = 60 cm2. Therefore, area of the given triangle is 60 cm2. Example 2: What is the area and perimeter of the rectangle with dimensions 3 cm and 2 cm? Rectangle is geometric shape with 4 sides. The given rectangle has dimensions are 3 cm and 2 cm respectively. Length, l = 3 cm; Width, w = 2 cm. Area of rectangle = length * width The area of rectangle is = 3 cm * 2 cm = 6 cm2. The perimeter of the rectangle = 2(length + width) The perimeter of the rectangle = 2(3 + 2) = 2 * 5 = 10 cm. Hence, area = 6 cm2 and perimeter = 10 cm.

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign College Experience Kathryn earned her bachelors degree in molecular and integrative physiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She specializes in science tutoring, Algebra 2 tutoring, and a number of other subjects. Below, she shares her experience at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign: Describe the campus setting and transportation options. Kathryn: I loved the University of Illinois campus. While there were some departments that had buildings that were farther away, almost everything was centrally located and easy to get to. Plus, the campus and the surrounding area werecharming, with lots of tree-lined streets and beautiful buildings. I always felt safe on campus. Everything was well-lit and there were always people around. Of course, you should be careful when walking alone late at night, but honestly I never felt unsafe on campus. Most of the time you could walk wherever you needed to go, but there is a free campus bus system. I also had a bike that I sometimes took to class, but it certainly wasnt a necessity. The campus had an extensive system of bike paths, which was convenient. A car was not necessary on campus and I didnt have one until I moved into an apartment my junior year. It was really only useful for heading off campus or to drive back to Chicago. I never drove on campus and, in fact, it was discouraged because of limited parking. How available are the professors, academic advisers, and teaching assistants? Kathryn:Many professors and TAs offered office hours so that you could get help if you needed it. I probably didnt take advantage of this as much as I should have, but it was definitely available. Every department had academic advisers and I never had a problem getting an appointment if I needed one. I didnt meet with them that often, but I always had a good experience. How would you describe the dorm life rooms, dining options, location, socialization opportunities with other students? Kathryn:I loved living in the dorms for two years. The dorms themselves varied quite a lot. Some had large rooms, some were in beautiful buildings, and some were a little more institutional. I lived in two different dorms, PAR and LAR. PAR was nice, but it was plain. LAR was much nicer and also much closer to campus; I definitely preferred living there. The dining rooms were what you would expect for dorm food. It was fine, but not great. They did have rotating specialty food nights in the different dorms that provided some alternative options. I think all the dorms provide good opportunities for socialization. People often left their doors open when they were home so you could walk around and meet others. This encouraged you to get to know your neighbors. Which majors/programs are best represented and supported? Kathryn:I cant speak to all of the departments in the school, but most of my friends were in various STEM departments. Those all seemed to be well-supported, especially engineering and computer science. I studied molecular and integrative physiology, which was a part of the biology department. I chose to study this because I had always loved science, and after taking the intro biology classes, I found that physiology was my favorite part. I had a great experience in the physiology department; I found the professors to be friendly and interested in the success of the students. How easy or difficult was it for you to meet people and make friends as a freshman? Does Greek life play a significant role in the campus social life? Kathryn:I found it fairly easy to make friends as a freshman. I met people in the dorms, in class, in the cafeteria, and through mutual friends. Almost everyone is looking to increase their social circle and make new friends. This helps take the pressure off of you because everyone has the same goal and is interested in meeting new people. Greek life did play a fairly large role in campus life, but I did not participate and I dont feel that negatively impacted my experience. I had some friends who were in the Greek system and they enjoyed it. How helpful are the Career Centerand other student support services? Kathryn:I cannot really comment on the Career Center because my plan was to continue my education after graduating, so I was more focused on services that helped prepare me for applying to institutions, such as medical and graduate school. There were advisers to help with both of those processes and I found them to be friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I do know several of my friends, especially those in engineering or computer science, had success finding jobs though on-campus job fairs. How are the various study areas such aslibraries, the student union, and dorm lounges? Kathryn:The University of Illinois has one of the largest university libraries in the country. There are several large main libraries, as well as many smaller departmental libraries located all over campus. I was always able to find a place to study whenever I needed to. Since there are so many libraries, all with different atmospheres, you could be sure to find a library that worked for you. The student union was a great place to spend time between classes or to meet up with friends. There were several large rooms with comfortable couches and chairs, a library, a coffee shop, a food court, and a bowling alley. The union also hosted events, such as concerts. Describe the surrounding town. Kathryn:I loved that U of I was located in a smaller town. Its a bit different than going to a university with an urban campus. Personally, I liked the feeling of campus being its own separate place. It kind of made me stay focused on the college experience and feel like I was immersed in it. It also made me more involved in campus life and in meeting people. When I was at U of I, I felt like students tended to stay more on campus, but there were definitely areas of the surrounding town where students would go to see concerts, movies, dine out, or shop. How big or small is the student body? Were you generally pleased or displeased with the typical class sizes? Kathryn:The university had a very large student population, including both undergraduate and graduate students. I loved that the university was so large, because it meant that you got to meet a diverse group of people, all of whom had different experiences and points of view. I was generally pleased with the class sizes. I had some classes that took place in large lecture halls and some that had less than 10 students. Even the larger lectures, though, usually had an accompanying study section that was a smaller class led by a TA, so you could get more individualized attention. Describe one memorable experience with a professor and/or class. Perhaps one you loved the most or one youregretthe most. Kathryn:My favorite professor was Dr. Esmail Meisami, who was in the physiology department. He was so enthusiastic and friendly, and had such a passion for helping students become as excited about science as he was. I always loved his class because he didnt just stand up and lecture, he made you want to be involved in the class. He always appeared so happy and I found him to be one of the most approachable professors. Part of the reason I chose to major in physiology was because I enjoyed his classes so much. Wedding photography is for capturing the best moments of the event so that you can put them in a beautiful photo album or up on your wall. This is why where you get your photos taken is important. (Source: Pexels)For successful wedding photos, you need to focus on the details as they’ll ensure that everything runs smoothly.Firstly, you need to think about the lighting where you’re getting your photos taken. After all, light is what makes photos work. No light, no photos. This doesn’t mean that you need natural light as a professional wedding photographer can always use a flash but natural night tends to work better in photography.The bride and groom should also think about colour. You don’t want colours that are too bright as they’ll distract from the bride’s dress, which is usually white. That said, you still need a place that looks nice.  Similarly, you need to think of somewhere you can get to while wearing a wedding dress.You don’t necessarily need to get these photos on the day but you probably don’t want to get your dress covered in muck from a dirty path. After all, separate photoshoots ar e normally done before the day of the ceremony.You can always ask for advice from your photographer. They should know some good places to get photos or at least the criteria and they might even suggest a few places for you to choose from.The important thing is that you feel comfortable with the places that you’ve chosen. It needs to be somewhere you can accurately capture your love for one another. Whether it’s for budgetary reasons or just because you’re already dressed for the occasion, if you find the right moment on the day, you can get your photos done then.Between the prep, the ceremony, the speeches, the meal, and the dance, it can be difficult to find a peaceful moment to get photos of just the two of you. Again, work this out with your photographer if you want to get some photos together on the day. If you're getting married near some beautiful locations, you always do a photoshoot on the day of your wedding. This might be a park, castle, neighbouring woods, a field full of flowers, or just under a nice tree. If you’re doing your photos on the day, consider this when choosing your venue.Finally, you’ll want your photos to be of you happy and relaxed so don’t squeeze in a photoshoot into an already busy schedule. If it’s going to be too difficult, schedule it for another day.Of course, if you schedule wedding photographs on a different day to the wedding ceremony, expect to pay more as you'll be paying for the photographer for another day.Choose Places that Mean Something to YouWhere you met, where you had your first kiss, your favourite park, etc., choose places that mean something to both of you where you have a lot of happy memories or a place where you like being. These are the perfect places for your wedding photos. Make sure you choose places that are special to you rather than cliché locations. They may also find a way to bring different places together as a theme.Even if they’re not the most aesthetically-pleasing places, the fact that they mean something to you is the most important. A good photographer will let the wedding couple do their thing and capture a great candid photo when they're looking their happiest.You might want engagement photos from the exact place you got engaged or where you had your wedding reception. The nicer the place, the nicer your photos will be. Some places look good from almost any angle.Take castles, for example. There’s a fairytale-like quality to them and you can get tonnes of photos from different parts of the building and around the grounds. While it might be a bit cliché, castles make for great wedding photos.  Similarly, you might want it f or your venue.Fields of flowers also provide a romantic setting and there are very few people who don’t find flowers beautiful.The seaside and forests also work great for romantic photos. However, think carefully about the shots you want to take as some locations may seem like they'd make the perfect wedding photos but in practice, if you didn't have a beach wedding, you mightn't want to get your wedding dress covered in sand, especially before the big day.On the other hand, if you've had a destination wedding, you might already be in the perfect place to get some fantastic photos or footage for a wedding video or album.Focus on Your PassionsYour wedding photos should be in places that evoke feelings. These places can give your wedding photos personality. Try to incorporate your passions into your wedding photography. Ideally, you want something that you’re both passionate about.In the cinema, surrounded by classic cars, in an old library, surrounded by animals, on a golf course, etc., there are plenty of places that can show off your passions and love for one another. Similarly, you won’t need to decorate these places.Don't get photos of you holding hands if you're not that type of couple. You'll want to pose naturally and the best wedding photographers will ensure that you look happy and comfortable in your wedding pictures.Professional photographers can capture great pictures of newlyweds doing what they love or sharing special moments to put in their wedding album.If you have any photo ideas, discuss them with your photographer.Travel to Get PhotosWhile this option isn’t for everyone on account of the cost, you might want to consider going somewhere special to get your wedding photos. You could even get photos taken on your honeymoon in exotic surroundings.It’d be hard to get bad wedding photos in Venice, for example. Gondolas, canals, Venetian streets, the whole place is inspirational. Of course, you’ll need to hire a photographer there or pay to fly one out!Similarly, you’ll want a photographer who can speak English well. The photoshoot will quickly become irritating if you can’t understand one another. You won’t have this problem if you go closer to home.  That said, you could get some wonderful photos in Rome, Paris, Seville, or Prague.Choosing Original PlacesEven if your wedding takes place in a traditional setting, why not get some wedding snaps in interesting places?A fairground, on the train, an old abandoned building, whatever you like.You can get some original photos. Similarly, you’ll end up wit h something that will always make you smile when you look at it.You might also get some original photos from just letting the photographer do their thing. Experimenting with analogue photography may also yield some interesting results. That said, it’s harder to edit these photos afterwards.Of course, before you try and be original, try to be yourself! Spontaneity is the best recipe for good photos!
